Patient check-in kiosk quick reference guide

On-Premises:

 

To start the check-in station:

  1. Press the power button on the front and wait for the desktop to appear on screen.
  2. Double-click the “remote desktop connection” icon.
  3. Enter the server name (if necessary). Click “logon” and wait for the desktop to appear.
  4. Double-click “kiosk” icon & wait for the SMART login screen to appear.
  5. Enter the username and password provided.

 

The auto check-in station is ready to use.

 

 

To close patient check-in station:

 

  1. Double-click word “welcome” on screen.
  2. Click start button & click logoff.

 

 

Troubleshooting:

 

If the scanner or keypad stops working:

Perform steps 1-5 in previous section.

 

If the welcome screen disappears from the screen:

Perform steps 2-5 above.

 

If the system requests a password be entered,

Perform steps 1-8 above.

 

 

If the welcome screen isn't showing patient ID # entry box:

(This will occur if the screen size resolution is not set to 1024 x 768

Pixels)

 

  • Click the close icon (x) at the top of screen to close the application
  • Click the Start button on screen
  • Hold down the “Shift” key and right-click logoff
  • Type user name = administrator
  • Type Password = Administrator (first A is capitalized)
  • Right-click on desktop
  • Click on properties
  • Left click on setting tab on top right
  • Left-click & hold to move screen resolution move slider to far right 1024 x 768 pixels.
  • Click apply button & answer yes to keep - Click start and log-off - Complete steps 2-8.

 

Cloud-based

 

To start the check-in station:

 

  1. Press the power button on the front and wait for the desktop to appear on the screen.
  2. Double-click the Citrix icon (“Cloud”).
  3. Enter the username and password provided.
  4. Double-click the icon for SMART and wait for the patient check-in screen to appear.
