Error “Cannot Transliterate”, when trying to save a treatment plan

If you're trying to save a treatment plan in SMART and get an error that says "Cannot transliterate between character sets", it simply means that you may have cut and pasted something (perhaps from a Word document or some other "rich text" source) into the treatment plan which the software does not recognize as a character.

If you need to copy and paste information into the SMART system, we recommend that you first paste it into Notepad, and then cut and paste it from there into SMART. This generally removes any unusual characters from the text.
