Setting up a Local Printer for Terminal Services

 

Below are instructions on how to set up a local printer for terminal services

  • Go to the “START” menu.

  • Go to “Settings”.

  • Go across to “Printers”.

  • Double click on “Add a printer”.

  • Click on the “Next” button.

  • Click on “Local Printer”,

  • Deselect the Detect setting,

  • Select “Use the following port”,

  • Select the “LPT1” port,

  • Click the “Next” button,

  • In the Left column select HP,

  • In the Right column select HP LaserJet 4,

  • Hit the “Next” button,

  • Either select the “Install Driver” option or “Keep Existing Driver”,

  • Hit the “Next” button,

  • Do Not make the printer the default printer,

  • Hit the “Finish” button.
